BRS is a federally funded office of the Iowa Department of Human Services and is charged with supporting the resettlement of refugees in Iowa.
Catholic Charities has partnered with BRS to offer community integration support to families that have arrived in the United States within the last five years.
Catholic Charities is not a refugee resettlement agency, but we provide affordable Immigration Legal Services and Case Management support to immigrant and refugee families.
Interpretation services are available.
Catholic Charities provides a safety niche of services for refugee families that are no longer receiving support from their resettlement agencies or that have migrated to our community from where they were initially resettled. Case Managers work with individual households to establish a plan of action to increase their self-sufficiency.
