"The following statement was issued in response to action taken by the Trump Administration rescinding guidance related to “protected areas” for immigration enforcement:"
Bishop Mark J. Seitz (USCCB), Sr. Mary Haddad, RSM (CHA), and Kerry Alys Robinson (CCUSA) have issued a statement in response to action taken by the Trump Administration rescinding guidance related to "protected areas" in immigration enforcement.
"These policy changes are an affront to human dignity and compassion," said Anna Gallagher, CLINIC executive director. "They send a chilling message to our immigrant communities and create an environment of fear that will prevent people from seeking the support they need and accessing their rights. We will not stand idly by as the rights of immigrants are trampled."
