Glenda Christensen

Administrative Assistant

Glenda joined the Waterloo office of Catholic Charities as an Administrative Assistant in 2021. A Chilean native, Glenda started her career as a teacher. When she came to the USA, she started her education all over again. She started with ESL classes at Hawkeye Community College, finished her AA, and then transferred to UNI and continued her higher education getting a BA and an MA in Spanish. Teaching is in her blood and helping others is a vocation that fills her with joy. She is very passionate about teaching her language and ESL, enjoying music, and dancing. She likes summer and spends time working in her garden. She loves animals and contemplating nature.  Glenda also loves to travel and spend time with her family.
