Immigration Legal Assistant

Javier joined Catholic Charities in 2021 as an immigration legal assistant in our Cedar Rapids office. Javier earned his Master's and Bachelors in Business Administration from Mount Mercy University. Before joining Catholic Charities, Javier worked as a production supervisor at a local company headquartered in GA, where he developed his leadership, administrative and managerial skills outside the classroom. After becoming a U.S. citizen in 2013, Javier felt a calling to give back to his country and community, leading him to join the Army National Guard.
