Karen Hoeger joined Catholic Charities in December 2020 as the Jail and Prison Reentry Coordinator. She provides case management to formerly incarcerated individuals as they work toward their housing, employment, and financial stability goals. Karen also trains and coordinates over 100 volunteers involved in jail and prison visitation, mentoring, and circles of support and accountability. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of Northern Iowa. Karen served criminal justice-involved clients with the State of Colorado for over 11 years as a Probation Officer, Problem-Solving Court Coordinator, and Probation Supervisor. There she assisted in creating and establishing two specialized court programs; DUI Court and Drug Court. She is passionate about empowering people to succeed in ways they never thought possible.
