Lindsey is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with over 9 years of experience. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a Master’s Degree from the Franciscan University of Steubenville in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
She utilizes a cognitive-behavioral therapy approach to assist clients in recognizing how their feelings, thoughts, and behaviors interconnect. Through CBT, clients gain self-awareness into the patterns of thinking and behaving that may be keeping them stuck from the interior freedom they desire and learn how to utilize new tools to help them make healthy changes. Lindsey also believes in empowering clients by providing psychoeducation regarding brain health. She has taught classes on healthy boundaries, effective communication, managing stress, and coping with emotions. She works alongside her clients to help them heal from past trauma, improve self-esteem, and learn ways to overcome and cope with anxiety, depression, life stressors, and grief.
Her hope for her clients is that they achieve a deeper level of wellness and peace through a healthy integration of mind, body, and spirit. Lindsey also specializes in working with families who are experiencing an unexpected pregnancy or may be in need of post-abortive healing. She is a practicing Catholic who values the importance of incorporating Christian beliefs into the therapy setting if desired by her clients. For those clients who share different beliefs, Lindsey has experience working with people from all different backgrounds and cherishes the unique relationships she is able to build with each of her clients.
