Rachel is a Licensed Master’s Level Social Worker. She earned a Bachelor of Psychology and Bachelor of Theology from St. Ambrose University in Davenport, IA, and a Master of Social Work and Master of Theology and Ministry from Boston College.
Rachel has experience working with immigrants and refugees, individuals experiencing homelessness, and persons living with chronic mental illness, in both community-based and inpatient settings. Her experience of accompanying individuals from a multitude of socioeconomic, cultural, and religious backgrounds has led her to practice from a holistic worldview and to value the many ways that individuals can lead a flourishing life.
Rachel is passionate about using an individualized, strengths-based, and nonjudgmental approach that allows the client to guide the therapeutic process and brings about healing of mind, body, and soul. Rachel utilizes frameworks from Solution Focused Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and often incorporates distress tolerance skills, mindfulness, spirituality, and body-based techniques. She is particularly interested in utilizing the body as a source of trauma healing. Rachel would be honored to accompany you on your journey of healing, self-discovery, and wholeness.
