  • Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program
    • SNAP helps families buy nutritious foods with an electronic benefit transfer (EBT) card, similar to a debit card.

SNAP Benefits can be used at authorized stores, farm stands, and farmer's markets across the country. SNAP can help you and your family eat right when money is tight.

To be eligible, households must meet regular SNAP rules. Certain non-citizens must meet additional criteria. If a non-citizen is ineligible for SNAP, other members of their household, like citizen children, may still be eligible. Getting SNAP benefits does not make you or members of your household a public charge. Click Here for the SNAP policy on non-citizen eligibility

If you need assistance with applying for SNAP, please contact a Catholic Charities Case Manager at 563-588-0558.

    • We are pleased to announce our partnership with Catholic Charities USA through the Walmart Foundation grant to enroll families and individuals in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). The purpose of this grant is to increase food security for low-income families in the United States, particularly in underserved and rural areas of the country. Our case managers at Catholic Charities have the tools and knowledge to enroll clients in the SNAP program while they are seeking assistance for other needs.
